Q-9. The sum of two numbers is 60, 3 times the smaller number is 12 more than other number find the numbers.
Solution:-
Let the smaller number = X
then Larger number = 60 - X
A/Q, 3 times smaller = more than 12 to other number
Or, 3X = 60 - X + 12
Or, 3X + X = 60 _ 12
Or, 4X = 72
Or, X= 72 / 4
x = 18 Ans.
Smaller = X = 18
Larger = 60 - X
= 60- 18
= 42 Ans.
