Solution:-
Let the four consecutive numbers
1st consecutive no. = x
2nd consecutive no. = x + 1
3rd consecutive no. = x + 2
4th consecutive no. = x + 3
A/Q, Sum of four consecutive no. = 398
x + x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 = 398
4x + 6 = 398
4x = 398 - 6
4x = 392
x = 392 / 4
x = 98
Hence,
1st consecutive number = x
= 98 Ans.
2nd consecutive no. = x + 1
= 98 + 1 = 99 Ans.
3rd consecutive no. = x + 2
= 98 + 2 = 100 Ans.
4th consecutive no. = x + 3
= 98 + 3 = 101 Ans.
